The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (CCCK) and Atomic Energy Canada Limited are pleased to present the CCCK - R.K. Keating Memorial Scholarship.  The scholarship is a CDN $5,000 one-time bursary to assist with tuition, travel and living costs to be awarded on an annual basis to one or more Korean student(s).

Its purpose is to assist worthy Korean students in their studies, and to build an academic relationship between Canada and Korea.

R.K. Keating was Vice President and Senior Representative in Korea or Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) between 1985-91 and 1994-96, until his untimely death in October 1996.  Bob Keating was the President of the Canadian Business Club when it was converted to the CCCK in 1995.  In memory of Mr. Keating and his dedication, the CCCK has established this scholarship.

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (CCCK) was formally established in 1995, and is a non-profit membership organization consisting of companies and individuals with an interest in fostering the Canada-Korea relationship. Though focusing primarily on commerce and trade, the CCCK also holds social and charitable events related to Canada-Korea relations.

Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) is a world-leading nuclear engineering company. AECL has played a major role in the Korean nuclear energy program since 1976. This successful partnership between Korea and  Canada has led to AECL helping to open 4 fully operational nuclear power plants in Korea.
